Visit Tarbes

Tarbes. A town situated in the Midi Pyrenees region of France. One of the most dynamic of all cities in the Hautes Pyrénées.
Being at the doors to the National park of the Pyrenees and just 30 minutes to skiing resorts, Tarbes boasts an abundance of activities.
Some of the recommended sights to visit:

Jardin Massey
Beautiful public parklands dating from the 9th century. Located in the centre of the town complete with resplendent peacocks, a duck lake, outdoor cafe and a mini train for kids. A lovely place for an afternoon stroll or picnic.
The Massey Museum 
Located in the Jardin Massey and features a lovely painting gallery and the hussar museum.


Cathedral Notre Dame de la Sede National
A lovely cathedral and important religious sight which can be seen in the centre of the town.


The National Stud Farm Of Tarbes
A visit to the national stud farm is worth visiting if you enjoy seeing beautiful horses.
Here you can discover the world of riding and take a tour of the stables and get to know the horses.
Tarbes has a rich equestrian tradition; the Anglo-Arab horse was first birthed at its national stud farm, and today its Equestrian festival is an annual showcase event.
